Worcester, MA, December 18, 2006 Allegro introduces two new high performance low noise 2100 Vrms isolation current sensor ICs. Allegro’s new current sensor ICs, ACS712 (bidirectional) and ACS713 (unidirectional), provide lower noise and higher accuracy than previous generation current sensor ICs. These sensor ICs also include an integrated shield, which effectively attenuates high dV/dt transients across the leadframe making this solution ideal for motor control and high side current sense applications.
The response time of these sensor ICs has improved by over two times of previous devices making it suitable for protection and high-speed applications. Additionally a filter pin has been added to further reduce output noise and improve low current accuracy without the attenuation effects of an external RC filter.
