Allegro is developing a new family of angle position sensor ICs that is based upon a technology that achieves high resolution and very fast response times. By using a single channel angle sensing signal to measure direction of magnet rotation, in plane with the silicon IC, Allegro’s angle sensor ICs reduce customer trimming and eliminate the need for matching sine/cosine signals, while at the same time reducing air gap dependence.
