High-Accuracy Hall-Effect Wheel Speed Gear Tooth Sensor IC

ATS19200

Description

Top Features

Packaging

The ATS19200 is an optimized Hall-effect integrated circuit (IC), rare-earth pellet, and high-temperature ceramic capacitor in a single over-molded package that reduces size while improving EMC robustness. No external PCB or capacitor is required.

The ATS19200 offers integrated diagnostics and certified safety design process.

The device provides a user-friendly solution for true zero-speed digital gear tooth sensing in two-wire applications, such as automotive wheel speed, as well as motorcycle/moped anti-lock braking systems. The ATS19200 can also be used as a general purpose speed sensor in recreational vehicles (mopeds, snowmobiles, four-wheelers) and industrial equipment (forklifts, tractors and agricultural equipment).

The ATS19200 is provided in a lead (Pb) free 3-pin back-biased SIP package (suffix SN) with tin leadframe plating.

ASIL Logo

ATS19200 was developed in accordance with ISO 26262:2011 as a hardware safety element out of context with ASIL B capability for use in automotive safety-related systems when integrated and used in the manner prescribed in the applicable safety manual and datasheet.

  • Integrated diagnostics and a certified safety design process
  • Integrated capacitor in a single over-molded package provides greater EMC robustness
  • Advanced, industry-proven threshold switching algorithm provides high pitch deviation and duty cycle accuracy over operating air gap range
  • Integrated back-bias magnet for ease of design-in with ferromagnetic gear targets
  • EEPROM offers device traceability throughout the production process
  • Two-wire current source output supporting speed protocol

Typical Applications

The ATS19200 is provided in a lead (Pb) free 3-pin back-biased SIP package (suffix SN) with tin leadframe plating.
