Stray-Field Immune, Magnet-Free Inductive Dual-Angle Sensor IC for EPS Torque and Vernier Angle Sensing
A17810
The Allegro A17810 is an automotive-grade inductive dual-angle position sensor IC engineered to eliminate magnets, flux concentrators, and magnetic shielding from electric power steering (EPS) and steer-by-wire systems. Operating via standard PCB trace coils and conductive targets, it provides inherent immunity to stray magnetic fields while calculating differential torque (within ±0.1°) and absolute Vernier angle directly on-chip. Built-in digital harmonic and non-linearity compensation absorbs mechanical mounting tolerances at end-of-line calibration, reducing bill-of-materials cost, lowering mechanical precision scrap, and simplifying safety-critical implementations up to ASIL D.
