The A31331 is an automotive grade, noncontacting Hall effect sensor capable of measuring fields in three axes enabling determination of rotary, linear, or joystick position via it’s on-board angle calculation capability. The +/-600G field range supports a wide range of designs using low cost ferrite to small size rare earth magnets as well as a variety of air gaps and stroke lengths.
The SPI (up to 10MHz) and I2C (up to 1MHz) interface supports easy interfacing to most microcontrollers with the I2C address being configurable via external resistors (16 unique addresses) or via EEPROM (up to 127 unique addresses).
Its integrated low power mode with wake on change capability enables optimization of measurement bandwidth vs power consumption leading to longer battery life.
