Our Community

As a global semiconductor leader, our products touch millions of lives every day. We know it’s important to combine a global vision with a focus on improving the communities in which we operate. Guided by our core values, we’re committed to being a responsible corporate citizen and making a difference around the world.

Giving at Allegro

Our people are the heart of our organization, and we’re dedicated to supporting their passions, philanthropic activities, and communities. We do this through a variety of programs, all of which are open to employees worldwide.

Matching Gift Program

We’re proud to support our employees’ personal causes through matching financial contributions to employee nonprofit charitable organizations and educational institutions. Our program matches 100% of qualifying charitable donations up to $5,000 per year, per employee.

Through gift matching, Allegro has donated over $230,000 over the past four years (2017-2021)

When disaster strikes, Allegro is there. In times of increased need, we remove the cap on matching gifts for donations to national and global organizations. Recent examples include:

Dollars for Doers Volunteer-Matching Program

We believe it’s important for employees to be active within their communities. Allegro employees volunteer their time and energy coaching STEM/robotics teams, building gardens for community food banks, providing tutoring and life-skill mentoring, assisting with adoptions at local animal shelters, and providing aid to others in need within the neighborhoods where we work and live.

In recognition of those contributions, our “Dollars for Doers” program helps encourage volunteering by supplementing time contributed (outside working hours) with monetary donations to qualified nonprofit organizations.

We award up to two grants per employee, per year, based on the total number of hours volunteered. Activity between 24 and 49 hours is rewarded with a $250 grant, and 50 hours or more is rewarded with one for $500.

Corporate Sponsorship/STEM Education Grants

As a leading innovator in the semiconductor industry, we recognize the importance of supporting science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education programs. Every year, we provide financial grants to local organizations that provide STEM education and community-related programs such as The Grace Hopper Program and FIRST Robotics

Education Scholarships

Extending our commitment to supporting our employees with ongoing financial assistance for education, we’re proud to award scholarships to the children of Allegro employees. To date, we’ve awarded almost $80,000 to recipients around the globe.

Corporate Social Responsibility

We extend our environmental commitment by encouraging our employees to be aware of the impacts created by their business activities, and to participate in volunteer and community efforts that improve the local environment.  In support of these efforts, we offer organized company volunteer days and community service projects. Some of these activities include:

  • Participation in the international celebration of Earth Day. As part of this event, employees and their family members are invited to assist in clean-up activities in local neighborhoods. These activities improve the local environment and increase awareness of our environmental responsibilities.
  • Hosting annual collection drives and on-site support opportunities for local food banks, veteran assistance programs, animal shelters, and children’s support programs.
  • Sponsoring employee and family participation in fundraising events like the Cigna Corporate 5K and FIT Walk Against Hunger.
  • Joining with the Bantay Kalikasan Foundation to adopt and plant mangrove trees as part of the Save the La Mesa Watershed Project in and around our Philippines location.
  • Conserving resources through a company-wide recycling program for many types of items including paper, cardboard, ink and toner cartridges, bottles/cans/food containers, batteries, pallets, metal items, chemical containers, pump oil, thermocouples, computers, fluorescent lamps, wafers, and scrap devices.

As communities worldwide began to feel the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, we moved swiftly to meet the unexpected and extraordinary challenges presented. We’ve always prioritized Allegro employees and their families, and took location-based action to ensure they had the support and tools they needed during this unprecedented time. We were also able to donate vital personal protection equipment (PPE) to hospitals and first responders around the world.
