The ACS37601 is the most advanced linear Hall-effect sensor IC for core-based current sensing ever developed by Allegro with an ASIL C safety rating, a sensitivity error of +/-0.8% and zero-amp output voltage offset <+/-5mV, over the automotive temperature range of -40C to 150C, and an Overcurrent and Overtemperature dedicated pin.
ASIL C safety rating is achieved through state-of-the-art sensing signal paths and diagnostics designed for e-mobility safety critical applications. A dedicated programmable overcurrent and overtemperature pin provides additional protection against short-circuits.
The ACS37601 features advanced Hall elements, resulting in a 30% Noise reduction relative to legacy devices while maintaining a 2μs response time and 240 kHz bandwidth. To support adoption of the most advanced microprocessors without requiring additional components, the sensor works with 5 V or 3.3 V power supplies. Highest accuracy is achieved through customer programmability to optimize both the sensitivity and offset after assembly into the final system.
The ACS37601 will be initially offered in the 1mm thin, KT package available with straight leads (TN), as well as a lead-formed option (TH) that enables surface mount assembly and high immunity to vibration.
