The A89306 is a three-phase sensorless brushless DC (BLDC) gate driver  that offers industry leading audible noise performance that provides the achievement of higher efficiency and low acoustic sound for applications operating from 5.5 to 50 V.  As the latest offering in Allegro's QuietMotion family, the A89306 boasts a integrated field-oriented control (FOC) algorithm that is embedded with Universal Speed Curve and Constant Power/Torque, eliminating the need of external microcontrollers (MCUs). 

Significantly improving time to market and reducing engineering efforts, the A89306 is a plug-and-play Solution that enables a reduction in the Bill of Materials (BOM) and Engienering time. The device also optimizes the motor startup performance in a stationary condition, a windmill condition, and even in a reverse windmill condition. Motor output and speed is controlled through analog, PWM, or using I2C.  A simple GUI is provided for ease of tunning and completely elinimate the need of software writing. 

The A89306 is available in a surface mount 28-contact 5 mm × 5 mm QFN (suffix ET) package. The package has an exposed pad for enhanced thermal dissipation, and lead (Pb) free, with 100% matte-tin leadframe plating.
