The A89303 cuts cost and size out of automotive pump designs by eliminating Hall sensors entirely. This AEC-Q100 qualified driver integrates low RDS(ON) integrated power MOSFETs delivering up to 3.6 A across a 5.5–40 V range — no external power stage needed — while its trapezoidal drive algorithm gets pumps to full speed fast, critical for kick start systems. Commutation can be tailored as the application demands: standard PWM input or I²C with programmable EEPROM to customize startup and run time behavior. Built-in overcurrent, overvoltage, thermal, and lock-detection protection keeps pumps running reliably from –40°C to 125°C, in packages as small as 5 mm × 5 mm QFN or leaded TSSOP with exposed thermal pad.
