The ATS17502 is a single-chip solution for obtaining reliable rotational speed and direction information from narrow-pitch ferrous gear targets in high-performance electric motors. Its dual-channel, differential Hall-effect architecture provides excellent immunity to common-mode stray magnetic fields. Advanced, on-chip algorithms ensure highly accurate and stable switch points across a wide range of air gaps, speeds, and temperatures, while also compensating for target vibrations and other system inconsistencies. Developed as an ASIL B Safety Element out of Context (SEooC), the ATS17502 is designed for straightforward integration into automotive and industrial systems requiring functional safety.
