Allegro Automotive Lighting Solutions

Allegro MicroSystems, LLC offers a growing portfolio of automotive LED drivers and micropower solid state Hall-effect switches. These devices are ideal for applications such as headlights, Daytime Running Lights (DRL)/fog lights, stop/tail/turn lights (RCL), puddle/door handle/mirror Lights, map/reading Lights, glove boxes, vanity mirrors, infotainment backlighting, head-up displays (HUD)s, and cluster & Center Stack lighting. Integrated solutions even combine the LED driver and Hall switch into a single IC for minimum space and BOM.

Highlights Include:

  • Linear and various switchmode topologies (Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost, SEPIC)
  • Single and multiple (up to 16) channel outputs for series and parallel LED configurations
  • Adjustable output currents up to 3 A/channel with fault protection and diagnostics
  • PWM dimming and/or adjustable turn-on/off rate for an elegant “theater” effect
  • Silent, contactless Hall-effect switches that are a significant upgrade from failure-prone mechanical switches
  • Designed for low EMI and maximum ESD/EMC ruggedness
