Self-Powered, Isolated SiC Gate Driver Chipset with Power-Thru Technology
AHV85003, AHV85043
The Allegro AHV85003/AHV85043 chipset streamlines the design of high-voltage, isolated SiC gate drive systems by integrating our innovative Power-Thru technology. This feature transmits both PWM signals and all necessary gate drive power across the isolation barrier using a single, compact external transformer, completely eliminating the need for a dedicated auxiliary bias supply or traditional bootstrap circuits. The chipset provides a bipolar output with an adjustable negative rail for robust SiC FET turn-off and enhanced dv/dt immunity, while the high-current (6 A) separate pull-up and pull-down outputs enable efficient, high-frequency switching. This highly integrated solution reduces system complexity and BOM cost, making it ideal for data center power supply units, automotive on-board chargers (OBCs), solar inverters, and industrial power applications.
